Smart and authentic online platform for the cultural hotspot of Nijmegen

Question

Lindenberg Cultuurhuis is the beating heart of culture in Nijmegen. With hundreds of performances and courses for young and old, arts and culture education in schools, and a vibrant hospitality establishment, Lindenberg is at the center of society. In the past period, we had the opportunity to shape the digital future together through a new website and by creating a smart content automation system.

Lindenberg was looking for an experienced partner to combine various digital issues. After an extensive agency selection process, The Cre8ion Lab was chosen to develop a future-proof and scalable website that clearly presents their diverse offerings of performances, courses, education (primary and secondary education), community projects, rentals, and hospitality, while being easy to manage.

Approach

When you bring together so many different target groups under one roof, you want everyone to feel at home. This can only be achieved if the authentic Lindenberg style seamlessly aligns with a smart platform. We first thoroughly researched this, which allowed us to refine the assignment and establish the functional and strategic needs for the first phase.

To get to know the organization from the inside out, we worked intensively in the initial phases and laid a solid foundation together through interviews, desk research, strategic sessions, digital landscape analysis, and interaction design.

Important topics included a well-thought-out basis and framework for the website, clear structure and navigation, digital accessibility principles WCAG 2.1AA, and optimal integration with smart connectors for ticketing (Ovatic), course offerings (App Software lerendoejenu.nl).

The website was, of course, fully responsive, developed with extra attention to mobile, and populating the website was accelerated using AI integrations.

Result

The result is a thoughtful and future-proof online platform where its unique style and technical ingenuity truly go hand in hand. But the most important outcome of the new website is, of course, Lindenberg as the cultural powerhouse of Nijmegen, where the audience is inspired, surprised, and eager to return due to the pleasant online visitor experience.
